A taste of my show on G105!
Once upon a time in a land
far far away (New Jersey), my mom and dad got a little frisky
and..... well, that's gross, nevermind. I grew up in a little
town called Oakland. I never really was the most popular kid
in my class. But I knew that I was destined to get into the
entertainment industry one day. I just didn't know it would be
in radio.
I went to the University of Hartford in
Connecticut as a Cinema Major, with a concentration in film and tv
production. Working behind the scenes in film is where I
wanted to be. After starting college, I became a part of the
school tv news station as the camera guy. Two months before I
graduated college, my girlfriend at the time was working for the
school radio station. God, I must have told this story a
million times, but it's how I got to where I am today. I went
down to the station to support my girlfriend early one morning and
within the first five minutes of hanging out, I got hooked.
That is where my life and career goals would change forever.
Wow, that sounds so.... big, haha.

That's my college radio station, WSAM, where
radio fell into my life.

Me and one of my best friends, Karl (in the
glasses) with fans of our college radio show. We had quite the
radio show, rather edgy, much like Bob and the Showgram today.
Now, I work for one of the greatest top 40 radio
stations in the country. As far as I'm concerned, Bob and the
Showgram is by far the best morning show I have ever heard.
That is the truth. It's an honor to work with them, Randi
West, Geller, and the rest of the staff that makes G105 what it is.
In addition to being on the air during the midday, I am the Music
Director and Assistant Program Director for G105, as well. As
Music Director, I discover new music and decide whether to play it
on G105 or not. I pretty much leave it in our listeners hands.
That is why some songs get played more than others. It's all
done by request. So, if you want to complain, blame your
fellow listeners! As Assistant Program Director, I am Randi's
right hand. I get her water, wash her car, and read her
e-mails. Yeah, some of you dudes are scary!
Other reasons I work in radio is for the fame,
fortune, fast cars, and the women! Okay, that's not entirely
true. I'm not really famous. I don't have lots of money.
I drive a Honda (and don't get me wrong, it's a great car).
And well, the women? Yes, that's fun! Though it is
difficult to date in this profession. Lots of people have
alterior motives, whether it's to be associated with me because of
what I do or just looking for concert tickets. That's the one
negative about working in radio. My good friends all kick
ass.... you know who you are. No matter what kind of
rediculous rumors people may make up and spread, my friends really
know me. Stop calling me while I'm working on the air guys.

My friend Mike and I with Nick Lachey.
Meeting artists is definitely a plus! I've
met everyone from Bon Jovi to Jessica Simpson. You meet one
person, you've met them all. Lots of those pictures are on my
myspace page. I still get a little star struck when I get to
hang with some of my favorites like Lit, Gavin DeGraw, 50 Cent, Nick
Lachey (yes, I said Nick Lachey), and more! And yeah they are
all super cool people.
When I am not working (when is that?), I like to
hang with friends, relax at home, check out concerts, travel, and in
the winter, ski. If you're on myspace and you're my friend,
odds are that I may not recognize you. I say this because
every time I go out, I sometimes meet people who say "hey, I'm your
myspace friend"! This is the truth and I know it will break
some hearts, but I don't know half the people that are my friends on
myspace.

Some of my closest friends in radio.
Life has changed so much from the high school
days. I would never have thought I would be having this much
fun when I grew up. After all, I get paid to talk on the
radio, listen to some great music, and talk to people on the phone!
It's a no brainer. All in all, I have the best group of
friends, a great family, the best job at the best station with the
best co-workers, and I thanks to my job at G105, I just bought my
first home!
The Showgram has their sign off phrase "I quit this bitch". I
will leave you with my new catch phrase....."I heart cheese".
Don't ask.
